[WEB400] "location.replace" question

Hi list:

This is pretty simple but I am still learning here... I can't see why, so here
it goes:

I have this piece of code in a Javascript function:

     var base = "../jobs/report?&unqkey=$(unqkey)&jobparms=wkctr&wkctr=";
     var parm = parent.wkctr;
     adr = base + parm;
     top.location.replace=('adr');

The function is not executing.  It was before until I changed the "top.location"
to be "top.location.replace".  I want to use replace to not to allow users to
click on the back button on special cases.

What could be wrong?
