Okay.  I would never suggest creating HTML output from RPG, so that's
not much of an issue for me.  In fact, the thing I like most about this
new environment is the fact that it almost forces us to separate
business logic and UI, which is a good thing.

But RPG is the best answer for business logic, so I guess it's clear to
me that JSP Model II with an RPG back end is pretty much the best
architecture for browser-based midrange business applications.

And I don't exactly subscribe to the web services mantra yet.  I think
web services are simply one of many possible ways to expose business
logic to the outside world, and I think your final architecture depends
very much on your business goals.
