I'm not sure, but an RPG implementation or TIFF to JPG transformation may
not look much different than a C implementation.  My point is that RPG
programmers tend to see barriers that really aren't there.

If we learn anything from ILE we should learn that RPG is extensible.  We're
not limited by the opcodes, functions, and interfaces provided by IBM.

A while ago I needed a dynamic array, one that grew and contracted according
to input of users.  It didn't take long for me to write an RPG module that
was comparable to a Java Vector class.

If people use RPG to implement Web interfaces, more power to them.  I say
RPG is more than up to the task.  Let's not be stopped by imaginary
barriers!
