I just tried this command and it copies the contents of one directory to
another.

The destination directory must pre-exist before the copy command or the copy
will fail...

COPY OBJ('/OriginFolder/*.*') TODIR('/DestinationFolder')

Subject: [WEB400] Copying files from one folder to another (from the
iSeries)

Hi list:

This is new to me and after surfing a little on the archives, I decided to
submit the inquietude to the group.

This is a simple task. We want to copy all files located in a folder to another
folder. I want to be able replace the file if it does exist and leave everybody
else intact.

My files are in a folder in the IFS called PGMTST and the production folder is
PROGRAMS. They are in the same level:

Files to be copied : \\Fl400\INTRANET\APP\PGMTST
Production folder : \\Fl400\INTRANET\APP\PROGRAMS

Is command CPY the one to use here? How will be the command and parameters to
use to accomplish this?

Thanks in advance,
Peter Vidal
