Hi Joel
Only the portlet rendering gets rebuilt nevertheless it is refreshed I
mean the entire screen is refreshed but with new states.
Its bit slow and we are trying to optimize..
We have been playing with portals for a long time since 2.1 and the
performance is imporoving we are using WPS 4.2 and now 5 seems fast. Also
we are thinking to host on an AS/400 so it could be fast and currently
we are hosting on a windows machine. Also we use lot of datasources
connection to as/400 so performance is slow.
Best Regards
Rizwan

Rizwan,

This is very interesting, I think I'll be spending some time researching
portals very soon. I noticed that when I minimize one of he Portlets,
the entire screen gets rebuilt, is that typical behavior? Also, it seems
a little slow so I was wondering what kind of set up you have, the
machine, the connection, etc. I'm trying to discern if the performance
is affected by using Portlets or not.

Thanks!

Joel
