A caveat about JWalk.  We have not used it in several years, but earlier 
clients had problems with printing the GUI screens.  This is an especially 
big problem if you attempt to roll your JWalk GUI apps out to a diverse 
user base via the internet.

They've probably fixed it since then, but it's worth asking about.

JWALK can be deployed several different ways.  It can be deployed via the
client (users PC), ActiveX, and a Java Client.  Both the ActiveX and Java
Client use either Netscape or Internet Explorer.  Web-Facing is simply a
process of building/converting a Graphical User Interface (GUI) on top of 
a
new or existing business application.  Seagull software has system 
engineers
who will provide an onsite visit to demonstrate the products functionality
at no charge. They will also build a simple prototype of your existing
application.  It would definitely be worth looking into.

I am not familiar with JWALK... does it require deployment of (additional)
software on the PC? Or does it use the ubiquitous Internet Explorer as its
interface?
 
When someone mentions "web-facing", does that imply a browser interface?

I am not sure if you have heard of Seagull, but they offer a powerful
software called JWALK that web-enables green screens. We have a very large
application and just recently went live with our new Court system using
their product. Our users are very pleased. I can provide you with some
contacts if interested.
