Many thanks for the reply. I'll give it a go. Also had a suggestion for the REN command as it works for an IFS object from a CL Program. What are you using to do the Emailing ? We have that as a future requirement. I was recently testing this. You can programatically determine the name it will be, I *CAT it all together (including the leading working folders) and I, MOV OBJ(/myfolder/morenumbers/morenumbers/411908_000006_MYPGM£_26052004_000001.P DF) TOOBJ(&friendly) MONMSG CPFA0A9 (DO) Wait 30 secs. then loop ======================= First I tried the MAILTAG method that changes the parameter that makes the spool get emailed directly from infoprint. It created a computer generated message in the body and did not seem like it would go over too well with ANYONE! and seemed extremely limited. One recipient? embedding AFP tags seemed too involved for this simple task and changing each spool file. I found with a low end CPU InfoPrint it was a lot faster than a particular Java based conversion. I fully expect a multiuser solution to work with the simple MOV & monmsgs followed by the send mail.
