Understood.  We played with the email portion of IP/400 for something
similar, but haven't advanced to the point of setting up a customer-to-email
address table for the exit program to do the email generation, but that's
next on the agenda.  We were successful in setting the email addresses
manually in the spool file user data and emailing the PDFs.  We tried both
the iSeries as mail sender and our external mail server, and both worked
well.  The next step is supposed to be creating an exit program to cross
reference the mail tag to an email address.  We plan to try using the
customer or vendor number as the tag data.  My fingers are crossed...

I guess I need to do some more reading, because the given solution of
InfoPrint looked very cumbersome to me.

Scenario: you have clerks logged on to an invoice program that fires these
PDF's off to different customers.
The only basic requirement that I have is that they get to the right person.
Looked impossible to gaurantee using the dataqueue.
embedding in AFP or extra logic in external file logs seem to be the only
way other than handling it all in the same job stream. Maybe I missed
something.
