I went to my Apache directives and found it set to
Timeout 300.  I assume I should have 300 seconds
before getting a time-out.

The error I'm getting appears to be from PHP. The
exact error message is:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds
exceeded in
c:\apacheserver\Apache\htdocs\php\jobs\ISERIES2.PHP on
line 23

I went to my php.ini file and put 120 in the
following:

max_execution_time = 120     ; Maximum execution time
of each script, in seconds
max_input_time = 120    ; Maximum amount of time each
script may spend parsing request data

That allowed me to retrieve the 5000 records in 35
seconds.
