Which HTTP server are you using? If it's the Apache based one, are you
protecting it with a Directory container or a Location container? If
you're using Directory, you're likely not protecting the correct thing.
It's best to use Location containers in most cases for password
protection because they work against URI's instead of physical
locations.

Before accessing the page, the browser presents the AS400 login.  Then I

know it is password protected....
