Couldn't a third party fairly easily make the whole approach feel exactly
like native functionality? (i.e. licpgm)  Seems like that's something that
could be done by the good folks at i5php.net by creating commands and such
that would allow for easy installation and change management (vs. going to
the shell prompt).

Let's not wait for IBM to do it :-)
