It has to do with the files you're trying to access being defined with
CCSID 65535. IBM is doing a lot to get people to quit doing this and it
wasn't an issue back in 2002. There may be a setting you need to specify
when you set up the JDBC driver. For example, on the ToolBox driver,
setting translate binary=true will fix this problem. I think there's a
similar setting for the Native driver.

Subject: [WEB400] Error - CCSID value is not valid

Hello all, new to the list here. I am attempting to setup a simple JSP
app
using Apache Tomcat on the i5. I'm using a example I found on the web
written by Richard Shaler in 2002. I have the server configured and can
access the app, the initial HTMl displays. When I enter data and
submit
the form, I get the following error:

com.ibm.db2.jdbc.app.DB2JDBCException: CCSID value is not valid.

Any ideas? The link to the example I'm using is:

Thanks, Tim
