Hi Scott
Publishing the pros (and cons) of MS .NET in this list is like jumping into
the lions den and shouting 'Is anyone hungry'?
I would love to write a paper on ASP.NET 2.0 and the iSeries and would
welcome a 'receptive' audience :-) but the bottom line is you have to try it
in order to appreciate it (rather than have it sold to you). I've never
tried Java (and doubt that I ever will) simply because I don't need to.
Best Regards
Maurice

for diverse i5 access...
Hi Maurice,
Up against you (and its not a competition) I would need considerable
time to describe why I have chosen .NET (with a modicum of RPG).
You came forth and said "I recommend ASP.NET 2.0", but you did not say why
you recommended it. Was it wrong of me to ask?
I've done web development via CGI in C (with no APIs to help), Perl, PHP,
CGIDEV2 (RPG), and a little bit in Java. I haven't touched ASP.NET, and I
don't know anything about it, I'm just wondering what it's pros and cons
are.
