Hi All
I am trying to get an ADO.NET connection from a Windows Server to an iSeries
using iSeries Access for Windows .NET Managed data provider V5R4 and have
asked the Firewall company to open the ports listed on the IBM website URL
below
http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.nsf/1ac66549a21402188625680b0002037e/ac
c12fda96496e4b8625668f007ab75f?OpenDocument&Highlight=2,iseries,access,ports
,firewall
Does anyone have a definitive list of the minimum ports required to get a
.NET Managed data provider connection working through a firewall? I just
get the message 'Connection timed out' (the connection string works OK on an
internal network) or is are there any additional ports required?
Many thanks
Maurice O'Prey

Subject: [WEB400] How do you do this?
I need to have a url like:
http://www.mydomain.com/Joe get directed to a
specific page that is in
http://www.mydomain.com/ (ie:
http://www.mydomain.com/Joe.html - don't ask d*mn laywers). while the url
entry
http://www.mydomain.com/ will just go to the normal home page. is
this a redirect of urls, virtual host, smoke and mirrors, or what?
Also on the same note if we were to have
http://NewPage.mydomain.com/ as
an entry would this be treated as a virtual host or what?
I've looked at the archives but since I don't know for sure what I'm
looking for, not sure if I found an answer or was looking for the wrong
thing!
As you can tell Admin is not my forte!
Thanks,
