The way I do this with JSF is have the backing bean be session scoped and
then store the rrn of the SQL result set to start at each time the listing
is redisplayed. Even if they navigate off the page and back again they will
be returned to the exact page they were looking at.

Does EGL come with paging out of the box?

Subject: [WEB400] JSF/EGL datatable positioning question

Im using JSF and EGL to load a datatable of country codes. The table is
defined as follows:

<hx:dataTableEx id="tableEx3"

value="#{qdashboard.userrecselectUI}"

var="varuserrecselectUI" styleClass="dataTableEx"

headerClass="headerClass" footerClass="footerClass"

rowClasses="rowClass1, rowClass2" border="0" cellpadding="2"
cellspacing="0" scrollSize="250px"

The table can contain hundreds of entries. When the user clicks on a
selected row in the table, the EGL processes the selection then redisplays
the table again.

The problem I am having is that the datatable displays from the beginning. I
would like it to display staring from the record they clicked.

I know this can be done in html with anchors.

Can this be done with JSF/EGL?

Thanks.
