Found it about 2 minutes ago. The person I have working on this project found this one. On a quick look it appears that the spell checking part is php based. The rest is all JavaScript and is multi-browser which looks exactly like what we want. I don't have a problem running php server side to support this, just don't want to go to the work and then not have it work with websphere java apps.

Thanks

2008/5/16 Mike Cunningham <mcunning@xxxxxxx>:
We are looking for a product to use in websphere java apps and RPG CGI apps that provide the user with an enhanced textarea that does font size, font type, bolding and most of all spell checking. We are currently using a version of http://www.innovastudio.com/editor.asp but it does not have spell checking built in. We also need it to be able to support multiple browsers, not just IE. We have not been able to find anything that we can get easily installed and working. These are some we have found but can't try some since they need php and we are not currently running php.

Hi Mike

Have you seen TinyMCE - http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/ That seems to
do what you're asking for. My only experience with it has been as the
new page editor for TWiki, where it's been customised to suit, but the
standard package has a lot to offer -
