Make absolutely certain you have the latest and greatest Group, Cumulative
and HIPER PTF's on your system. Also, did you remember to download the
group PTF for WAS 6.0 and then run the update script in Qshell?
Very important step as WAS will not work without doing that.

Subject: [WEB400] Fail to create a new was instance
Hi!
We installed websphere 6 on our iSeries (V5R4) and we try now to create a
new websphere application server instance. My new application server name is
WASCSL. I then create a new HTTP server (WEBSERVE01) using all IP addresses
on port 10015, first internal port 10016. Then I choose to install default
sample applications to test my new server. I do not configure identity
tokens. So the summary of my new application server instance is:
      WAS version: 6.0.2.23
      Application server name: WASCSL
Server description: WebSphere application server created by the Create
Application Server wizard.
      Internal port range: 10016 - 10030
      Virtual host: default_host
      Profile root: /QIBM/UserData/WebSphere/AppServer/V6/Base/profiles
      External HTTP server association: WEBSERVE01
      Server URL:
http://localhost:10015
      Business applications: None
And the summary of my web server is:
      HTTP server name: WEBSERVE01
HTTP server description: HTTP server created by the Create Application
Server wizard.
      Port: 10015
      Document root: /www/webserve01/htdocs
      Server root: /www/webserve01
      Current application server association: None
New application server association: WASCSL, V6.0
So the creation of my new application server fails each time after a long
process time (more than 30 minutes).
Is there any log where I can have a hint about why my new application server
fails to be created?
Thanks in advance for your answers
