Consider that wtnRecGet() is just a high-level wrapper.  You can always 
drop back to lower-level procedures to retrieve and validate input 
elements.

But it may be easier to define multiple externally defined data 
structures.  Use DDS to define data and validation rules, rather than 
create files that store data.  Adapt external descriptions to program 
requirements.  Let your library list determine which program uses which 
externally defined data structure.
