The vast majority of my code is RPG, but I've done a few things in Net.Data. Yes, it's seductively appealing to edit a script and immediately see the results in a browser; even errors. No need to compile. And the SQL and System Language interfaces are excellent. I get busy in RPG and tend to forget that, but discussions like this bring back recollections. There have been a lot of discussions about using RPG for business logic, and PHP or Java for presentation, but that list should include Net.Data.
To Sarah,
Thanks for the tip about Spring. I'll take another look at it.
Nathan.

Subject: Re: [WEB400] Mapping SQL Result Sets to Browsers
Since scripting has been mentioned in the context of PHP I'll add my 2
penneth by stating that one of the strengths of scripting using Net.data
is that it handles result sets ( a request may return multiple result
sets) superbly in very simple manner (just a few lines) that hides all
the complexity of the SQL interface.
But I guess you know this already.
