Perhaps YOU may actually CHOOSE* to use IE but the great majority of the unwashed IE users simply use what's on the box. Because IE is shipped with WinDOS as the default browser that's what they use. I can't prove it but I would suspect that 50% of the current IE users do so because of:
1) It's what's on the box (home users)
2) It's all that's allowed (some business users)
3) Don't know (ignorance) or don't care (stupidity) that there are other choices

None of which constitute "choice".

* And if so then I think you're mad. IE is an AWFUL browser. Firefox and Safari are much better (at standards implementation, at speed of rendering, at consistency of display, usability etc. etc.).
