David,

How can I check for what the performance might be like or check
whatever settings are involved? Like I said I have WebSphere and WDSc
install but don't know if it's installed correctly especially with
respect to performance.

Thanks,

Dave

Java performance on the i is highly dependent on the machine it's
running on (and how it's configured).

On my development machine, here in the office, it's really slow ... but
on some of our customers boxes it's quite fast. I was trying to trouble
shoot a problem and had to watch a log file (using DSPF) and the log
entries I was looking for showed up so fast I missed them and assumed
they never actually got logged.
