Two "been there" gotchas for you though:
1) Put quotes around your filename. This is especially important if the
filename will contain blanks.
2) If you attempt to open "text.xls" from the site and you already have
a "text.xls" open, then Excel assumes the sheets in the new workbook are
supposed to be additional sheets in the old workbook and "merges" the
workbooks. That's all fine and good unless there are duplicate sheet
names in which case excel says "die"
