I just wondered what peoples first impressions of Google Chrome

Checkout the element inspector (right click on any element in a web
page).

This could be a very interesting one... (for everyone)
I investigated it weeks ago. Watched the videos and the cute cartoon.
I like the idea behind it. IE is pile of crap and causes more cost to
IT than necessary--typical of so much Microsoft software. I like that
it uses the same rendering engine as Safari--very fast. I like the
separate process per tab idea plus much else in their design. If they
can create a consistent, programmable, cross-platform browser without
all the crap of IE and excess of Mozilla then good luck to them.
Might be what is needed to create proper web applications without the
current mess of browser differences. Just support Chrome. Too earlier
to tell yet because it seems to be a work-in-progress.
It's not yet available for MacOS X so I didn't bother downloading it.
Life's too short to spend any more time in Windows than necessary.
NOTE: Safari has an element inspector too--probably the same one
since they are both built on WebKit.

Simon Coulter.
