I have WDSC 7.0 on my laptop running XPpro. Its still clunky and slow. It is
WDSC 7.0 that has the remote network problems I mentioned. I don't use WDSC
on this machine very often, because the laptop is usually only used when I
am out of the office.

There are some editor improvements in V7.0 that I like. But for now, I have
to stick to V6 on my main system.

WDSC V7 will not install on Windows Vista 64bit. I use WDSC 6.0.

It can and has been installed many times. If you use V6.0 I can
understand that you find it bulky and clunky - but WDSC 7.0 and RDi
7.1 are both much more agile and resilient to problems.
