Apache is a HTTP web server. It is installed on a default system (the DG1 option). It is all that is needed for straight html, javascript and RPGLE/CGI.
Even though product installed, there is a setup/config to do, and the tcp server for *http defaults to autostart=*no.
I don't have the links but there is a redbook on the Apache setup and admin, plus many prev postings.
Websphere Express or Websphere App Server is a Web Application Server for Java, JSP's, etc.
So what is it your going to be doing on your system.

Subject: Re: [WEB400] Is there a FAQ for installing Apache on V5R4?
Isn't the webserver on V5R4 based on Apache? What does the regular release
provide that the built-in one doesn't?

Or is it even possible? What are the pros and cons?
