Are you asking about the application of your utility to general database maintenance? I really don't know how to answer that. I just suggest taking it to market and finding out.

I was actually tempted to respond whimsically about how you need to offer something that makes application development harder to succeed in this business. But I see that you're serious about what you're doing.

Regarding your approach of using a single *DSPF for many applications, I can see how the UI formatting and I/O could be transferred to CGIDEV2, using persistent connections. It sounds like you're on your way.
