If you are on V6R1, first make sure your PTFs are current, and then either add the FQDN to the ::1 entry of the host table, or turn off IPV6 (it's a parameter on STRTCP). Note, to turn off IPV6, you must stop TCP completely.

Hello everybody.

I'm configuring one System i server in order to deploy web applications with Websphere version 6.0 wich is already installed.

I've followed the manual instructions to configure the HTTP server instance but when I access to http://[my_server]:2001/, It redirects to the https://[my_server]:2005/ibm/console/logon.jsp, I fill my username and password and after that It takes a long time to show the left menu and after 10-15 minutes, The browser gets an error code from the server (I guess so because IE7 shows the common "The page cannot be displayed" message).

Because this, I never could go to the HTTP Admin from the IBM Systems Director Navigator for I5/OS. So, I accessed directly with the URL http://[my_server]:2001/HTTPAdmin/ and It works fine sometimes.

Do you know what can cause this kind of Server low performance?, Is there some knowledge base where I can see some information related?
