Interesting... ...JBoss is one for some reason I never think of. I really
need to take the time to learn more about JPA.

There has been a shift in mindset SOMEWHERE resulting in the standards being usable even to those not doing JEE work. The web service stack in Glassfish can be plopped in any servlet 2.4-compatible container. The persistence layer can be used in stand alone applications. It is great!

I have not worked much with JBoss and when I did the documentation was embarrasingly bad to take money for. It works, however, on the i.

Yes, I really like Glassfish too. I haven't tried it in eclipse, but works
GREAT in NetBeans. It would be great to have it on the IBM i.

As mentioned earlier I feel best about having the source for the whole Java system we deploy. Hence my interest in open source products. I'll look into Glassfish when I have the time.

How did you guess it was cut and pasted ;) I usually do that to most names
so I don't mis-type them. Plus for ethnic names it works!
The "ø" is really hard to get unless you have a Danish/Norwegian keyboard layout - or use a elitist mail agent like Emacs (which has it as Ctrl-x 8 o /), so frankly I don't mind. Type it as you want to :)
