I have not. Where can I find the install logs? My ops folks TOLD me
that they installed MySQL, and I can see it and start it from the Zend
menus. Actually, for what I'm doing, I don't want to connect to a
locally installed instance of MySQL. I want to connect to a remote
instance running on another server. But if MySQL has to be installed
and/or running locally for the mysql and mysqli extensions to work,
then that's fine.

Thanks!

I'm starting to experiment with PHP on one of our systems, and the

Have you checked the logs from the install?  For that matter are you
sure that a) You (or your ops folks) actually loaded a version of Zend
that included the MySQL option and b) That the option was requested
during the install?
