I have not experience at all running Zend on System I, but it sounds like the same issues that we had when we tried to work with Websphere, there were jobs that died because the ports were not opened or the URL never replied back. We had the main port opened but not all of them. We experienced those issues when we tried to open HTTP Admin first of all, then for WAS V6.0, WAS V7 and Tomcat and SSL; each of those required different ports to be opened

I would suggest to look at the Documentation and make sure that Zend only requires port 8000 opened.

I've verified that port 8000 is open. This is looking more like an install
problem. There are no jobs in the ZEND sbs and no ZENDADMIN user profile.

Thanks,
Todd

Make sure that the ports are opened on your firewall.

Weeks ago, we had kind of the same problem but with Websphere, the main
problem was that it required so many ports opened that never were mentioned
on the IBM documentation, finally, after struggling with Job Logs and
support from IBM, we opened ports again and again until it finally got
fixed.

I'm comfortable with the config. files but that does not seem to be the
problem. There are no jobs running in the ZEND subsystem.
For anyone running the Zend server, what user profiles do you have? The
post I noted before points out a user of ZENDADMIN. That is not present on
my system but there is a profile named ZENDTECH. This seems to point to an
install issue but I'm not sure.

Thanks,
Todd

Are you comfortable working with apache conf files? It sounds like the
problem is with the Apache server installed in PASE. You can access its
conf
file at /usr/local/Zend/apache2/conf/

But apparently the product was installed as QSECOFR.

I see the following errors in the apache2/logs/error_log:

This seems to point to an SSL problem. I was not involved but is this an
option that needs to be changed/uninstalled?
Any help is appreciated.
