Zend Core is really running in Apache PASE and not as a CGI off of
Apache in i5/OS ...

I was aware that Zend Core runs under Apache PASE, but not aware that the configuration directives were different than IBM i directives.

The AIX information center refers to i5 HTTP server configuration, which is interesting.

Anyway, I see that MaxClients and StartServers are documented at www.apache.org, and discussed on the Web in connection with PHP performance tuning.
