Dean,

Make sure the keep-alive settings match on both machines.

Subject: [WEB400] Connection dropped unexpectedly error

Hi,

First some background. We have web services running on the System i in
Websphere that call RPG programs on another System i with a firewall in
between. On the Websphere machine, we have the TCP keep alive set to 120
minutes. On the firewall, we have the timeout set to 250 minutes. About
once a week, we still get errors in the Websphere logs where it says
"Connection dropped unexpectedly". Is there a setting in Websphere that
would affect this? Any ideas on how to stop this from happening? TIA
