Hey folks,

Just got a quick note from the folks at IBM-Rochester on this topic.
(Thanks Tim!)

1) IBM has updated the HTTP server to 2.2 for i6.1 for planning reasons
and you will probably not see 2.2 for V5R4. Apache 2.0 is still
supported by the ASF so fixes are still being delivered.

2) Updates to these releases should be coming out soon (maybe Monday) in
new group PTF's for
V5R4 - SF99114-20 SI35761, SI35762
Apache 2.0.63
V6R1 - SF99115-9 SI35767, SI35764, SI35768 Apache
2.2.11

Regards,

Mike

I just checked a V6.1 system:

Apache/2.2.11 (i5)

Not sure if IBM will update the V5R4 version to that.

I found V5R4 PTF SI35432 - IBM HTTP Server for i5/OS
<snip>
Update IBM HTTP Server for i to latest levels
(2.0.63) from Apache Software Foundation and
include a fix for security vulnerability
CVE-2008-2939 (mod_proxy_ftp globbing XSS) for
PCI compliance.</snip>
