Where did you find the "%D" log format option? I've looked at the documentation at apache.org and also at the IBM i Information Center. But I can't find it.
Was Apache logging turned OFF when you tested from SOAPUI. I can see logging itself adding some overhead.

I'm trying to capture some information about the performance of our web
services on the System i. I modified the Apache config file by adding the
%D parameter to the log format. It is my understanding that this will
show the length of time that it took to execute the request in
microseconds. I'm using SOAPUI as my testing tool to call the web
service. In SOAPUI, I see a response time of 419 milliseconds (.419
seconds). In the Apache access log, I see a response time of 919632
microseconds (.919 seconds). Why don't these two match more closely? What
am I missing?
