I'm trying to install MYSQL as part of the ZendCore install and am having
problems.

First - when the green screen message telling me to set a password for the
root user appeared, it told me to start the server, but did not say which
server to start or how to start it. So I skipped that section.

Second - When I tried to start the MySQL daemon using option 4 from the
green screen menu, I got "MySql server could not be started". with "Object
not found. Object is /tmp/mysql.sock" showing up 6 times in the job log.

Third - when I tried to test the connection using the instructions in the
installation manual, I got the following (screen shot below)

Any suggestions?
