Yes, Kevin also caught my Denmark bluper. I meant Netherlands. At least both countries are in Western Europe ;-)

I'm trying to consider network latency. A ping to Netherlands responds in 194 milliseconds. A ping to Yahoo mail responds in 110 milliseconds. A ping to a server on my LAN responds in 1 millisecond.

Perhaps this has not been done fr the ATK installation?

Netcraft indicates that http://atk.achievo.org is running on Linux in Denmark. When I ping the server, the response takes 194 milliseconds, as opposed to just 1 millisecond to ping my server. That's more network latency than I originally estimated over the internet.

I did a traceroute to atk.achievo.org and the last host answering pings is

8 ge2-1.br10.saams.nl.easynet.net (87.86.71.213) 39.358 ms 41.456
ms 36.732 ms

and the page refers to http://www.ibuildings.nl/ for "©1999-2005
ibuildings.nl BV". All this indicate to me that the system is located
in the Netherlands but that is a minor issue :)

The Linux guess is probably their firewall.

But network latency may be quite big, so your figures should reflect that.
