No. But you do have to "claim" your free license to get rid of the demo-mode countdown. It is not intuitive and Zend need to fix it but ...

Open Studio and select Help => Purchase License. A web screen will display in the editor area asking for your system's serial number. You'll then be taken to the Zend site to sign in with your Zend Id (i.e. the email you signed up with). Your serial number and registration data is then sent your email. You enter that into the dialog that pops up when you do Help => Register ... and there you go.
