I use NotePadd++. It's free and has syntax highlighting - that's about all
you really need. It also has autocomplete for HTML, JavaScript and PHP. It
is very lightweight (i.e. it doesn't take 3mins to load). I use that in
conjunction with Firebug to develop my HTML, JS and PHP code. I would highly
recommend NotePad++.
