The basic problem here is that the _tools_ available to you have not kept up. If Navigator could have told you the job, you would not have had to reboot the computer.

In the bad old days, NOTHING could tell you which process was filling the disk and why, if it was writing to a file, and that file had been deleted. The resources are not freed until the writer to the file closes it. Gladly "lsof" was invented.

The same thing needs to happen in the AS/400 world, especially with all these Unix things coming in (are they running in PASE?).
