That's ideally what I want to do, but my boss doesn't really want to install
it if we don't have to. If I can come up with a good enough reason to move
to JSF 2 I might be able to convince them. Problem is we already have WAS
6.1 installed and they are running a little low on disk space.

If Websphere is the ONLY thing keeping you from going JSF 2 then I would
just go with Tomcat instead which is more widely used. If you need support
