Hopefully this message will save somebody some time debugging their JavaScript. I innocuously used the name "class" as a variable name, and had a bugger of a time finding the bug in I.E. It's okay in Chrome and Firefox, but not in I.E. or Safari. For example:

<html>
<body>
</body>
<script>
var class = 'Algebra II';
alert('class = ' + class);
</script>
</html>
