Thanks, Kelly, I did try the simple example and it worked.

I was conditioning the all the PHP code on if they had populated the input
field. That kept an error from occurring on the first pass through. The IF
line was moved up BEFORE it even presented that text box. So isset was
ALWAYS false. So guess what? Comes down to a simple logic problem. Moved the
IF down and BAM! It worked.
