I didn't participate in the thread but I saw any number of working
examples passed on to you and several people trying to understand your
problems and resolve them.
Undoubtedly the i5...() functions can use help in the documentation
department etc. but they are being widely used and as you discovered
you can often get assistance form EasyCom. In most cases the db2...()
functions have wider support so personally I would only use the i5
stuff when I have to - as in reading spool file data etc.
If you have in-house .net experience then certainly it makes sense to
use it.
