Not a code generator. A compiler...something that takes PHP script and compiles it into an ILE module that runs (as an ILE module) on the IBM i. It would be no different than writing a bit of COBOL or RPG code and then compiling it into an ILE module. 

You would always be the one writing the code.

That (PHP-to-ILE compiler) I would not like to see. I personally can't
stand generated code. It's usually pretty messy. The generated code in
a SQLRPGLE program even drives me crazy.

Also, have you used Facebook :-) It's constantly has issues and I'm
pretty sure it's the code that's the problem and not the server load.
