I haven't spent much more time on iSVN in the recent months. I am instead
starting to adopt sourceforge.net as my SVN repository and (currently) using
WDSC iSeries Projects to sync (which it does fairly well). My hope is that
RPGNextGen eventually supports SVN connectivity on the client side and then
I will use that.

No problem! I *always* appreciate changes/suggestions. That is how I

I wish I had a better way to manage changes and host the project. I
know at one time you were working with SVN for managing RPG source
changes for projects like this. How did that/is that working out?

Ah. I follow you now.

Would you mind if I added additional approaches to your code base?

Sorry, I didn't respond to the second part of your message.

Remember for Jasper and BIRT I am only *calling* the report. The report
is populated by the Jasper or Birt engine, not by RRE. The data query
and formatting is all handled by the report engines in Java, not by
RRE. So, RRE just wraps the entire engine for Jasper and Birt.

The iText stuff is more like traditional I/O. Actually, the iText
wrapper is like the POI stuff that Scott did for HSSFR. Read a record
in SQL and then write to the iText API with the data.

Pete
