I have the site collecting the User Agent from the browser (about a week's worth so far - quite a variation. There are a couple sites with listing of "all" and that is many hundreds of variants. Just mobile one's is a big list (from the site you mentioned) and I imagine ever expanding.

Jim,
You can tackle this using the User Agent from the visitor's browser. There
are ways to do it in Apache, or you can do it in Javascript or PHP or ....

[WEB400] Apache config and smartphones






Is there a need to update the apache directives for smartphone or pda
access?
I've had same Apache directives for a few years. Now adding a different
set of screens (order entry) for the little guys.. A little googling says
yes and no..

It is unknown what kind of devices/browsers will connect and there seem to
be many. Any pointers on simple screens (hopefully w/javascript.. although
apparently not all support it).
