Andy:

I understand having to reinstall Zend Server in this case, but I don't understand why all your PHP applications needed to be reinstalled. Don't you have different IFS directories for production/test/development? Did the Apache instance also get deleted? Those directories should not have been affected by the removal of the ZendCore product. What am I missing? Is the Zend Framework (assuming you use the framework) part of what got clobbered?

I'll give his a try on my test system tomorrow but I am concerned about is if the license program removal process affects IFS directories that are not part of the product itself.

One for the archives:

Our dev box has Zend Core& Zend Server installed as licensed programs.

As we have migrated all our apps to Zend Server, I deleted the lic pgm for Zend Core 1ZCORE5. This then removed parts of Zend Server!

Zend Server only had a handful of objects in the Zendsvr library. Nothing worked from a zend server point of view, the controlling menu zendsvr/zsmenu had been deleted!

It get it all back I had to remove the Zend Server licpgm 2ZSVRPI then run the install once again& restore all our PHP applications. A right pain.

So, a word of warning when deleting Zend Core.

Hope this helps
