For the records, this was a Zend Core problem. The profile ZENDADMIN owned objects in the ZENDSVR library & IFS which were deleted when the profile was removed.

Full instructions for removing Zend Core, with Zend Server installed, can be found here http://forums.zend.com/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=10588

Doubtful. I just tried it on our machine.

Loaded ZendCore, verified it.
Loaded ZendServer, verified it.
Removed ZendCore.
ZendServer still running with no issues.

I suspect there was a bit more to the scenario that caused the problem.

That's interesting because I did the same thing, and didn't have any

As we have migrated all our apps to Zend Server, I deleted the lic
pgm for Zend Core 1ZCORE5. This then removed parts of Zend Server!
