For one it is MUCH easier to install - drop one file in the IFS and you're done. There's also a "matching" editor which is equally easy to install adn suitable for end-user (or at least programmer) deployment.

I've been using it for a while now (I think I may have introduced Jim and Larry to it) and find it far easier to use.
