After all the grief you've had I almost hate to say this but ... you do
know there's a version of Mantis that works directly with DB2 right?

Yes. I considered it but I figured the DB2 storage engine would give me the
same benefit. We are not doing this just for Mantis. It is just the first
project, but not the last. We're getting ready to redo our corporate home
page using an open source CMS system as well.
